A new international destination, Sharm el-Sheikh (Egypt), has been added to the Platov International Airport’s timetable. On October 3, Rossiya Airlines started operating regular flights to this Egyptian Red-Sea resort.
The flights are scheduled once a week, Fridays/Saturdays. The flight departs from Rostov-on-Don at 00:05 on Saturday. Arrival in Sharm el-Sheikh is due at 03:10. The return flight departs from Sharm el Sheikh on Friday at 17:10 and arrives in Platov at 22:00. Tickets are available as part of Biblio-Globus tour packages.
Earlier Rossiya had launched flights from Platov to Hurghada.
Before departure passengers should check the current entry regime and relevant anti-epidemic protocols on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, airlines, travel agency, embassy or consulate. Today Russians are allowed to enter Egypt with a vaccination certificate in English, bearing a QR-code – provided that at least 14 days have passed since the second vaccine jab was administered; or with a negative PCR-test done no more than 72 hours prior to departure. Passengers travelling to Hurghada and Sharm-el-Sheikh may pass the PCR test upon arrival.
