The service of e-boarding passes is now at work in Platov international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding). Now passengers checking in for an online flight do not need to print out a paper boarding pass at check-in counters; it’s enough to download an e-boarding pass to one’s mobile gadget.
The electronic boarding pass with a bar code or QR code contains all necessary information: passenger’s full name, passport data, flight date, time, number, etc. The bar code or QR code is scanned, when a traveler passes preflight inspection and then at the boarding time. Please note that using a mobile boarding pass does not cancel the need to produce your passport before you can proceed to the inspection zone.
Furthermore, a mobile boarding pass can be used by passengers of the airlines, confirming these services. Today the e-boarding pass is available for passengers departing from Platov with the flights of Azimuth, Urals Airlines, Utair and Nordstar. In the future this list will be extended.
Despite the opportunity to use e-boarding passes, paper boarding passes are still valid – you may get them at the check-in counter as before. If a passenger travels with baggage, the latter can also be checked at check-in counters, regardless of your chosen check-in mode.
