A new option of luggage tracing was added on the official website of the Platov International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding). It is intended for individuals, whose luggage has not arrived at the same time with the passenger. A Lost&Found team employee in the luggage claim area should be approached in such case after arrival, showing traffic documents (boarding pass, luggage tags) and an identification document to receive the Property Irregularity Report (PIR) reference number.
It is possible to trace its status without assistance, making the following actions:
1. Enter the relevant section on the airport websitehttp://rov.aero/services/luggage/
2. Select the airline you were flying with, clicking on the logo.
3. Select “Determine luggage search status” in case of /being redirected to the official website of the airline.
4. Set the 10-character number (Property Irregularity Report - PIR) assigned when submitting the application and the surname in Latin letters. Then press "Send" button.
5. Check correctness of data entered into the system. Call phone number indicated in the Property Irregularity Report (PIR) in case there is a need to make changes (corrections) in the application (name, surname, phone number, address, or description of luggage).
Passengers of the Platov Airport carried over 732 thousand luggage pieces with the total weight over 10,987.35 tonnes in the first half of 2018. The average weight of a single unit totaled 15 kg. 948 Lost and Found requests were presented over that period. Hence the percentage of delayed trunks is 0.13% of the total volume. According to the airport statistics for the first half of 2018, the delayed luggage arrives during the next day in domestic flights; search takes up to 14 days in international flights (21 days are allocated for luggage search under current Russian regulatory acts). The new section on the airport website will make it possible for passengers to receive information about location of suitcases quicker.
