Platov international airport (part of the Airports of Regions holding) hit the list of the world’s most punctilious air hubs in October. As per the Punctuality League report published by the British analytical agency OAG, Platov was ranked 37th in that month.
The Agency reports 1,072 regular passenger flights performed from Platov in October, of which 93.4% were right on schedule. The agency gave its nod to the flights arriving or departing within 15 minutes of the scheduled time.
The Punctuality League is topped by the Danish airport Karup. In addition to Platov, other air hubs of the Airports of Regions holding are included in the TOP-100 most punctilious airports: Strigino (ranks 6th), Kurumoch (ranks 21st), Koltsovo (ranks 80th) and Novy Urengoy airport (ranks 88th). Overall 1,200 airports across the world participate in the rating.
OAG is an analytical agency specializing in civil aviation. The agency draws monthly and annual reports enabling to spot most punctilious carriers, most congested routes and leaders among air hubs. OAG ranks only those airports on which analysts have more than 80% of flight departure and arrival data. Non-passenger and charter flights are not taken into account.
