The Platov International Airport (member of the Airports of Regions Holding) serviced over 167.4 k passengers in first summer months on routes linking Rostov-on-Don directly to Russian and overseas resorts. Growth was 18% as compared to the like period of the last year.
Airlines completed 569 departures to resort towns in June - July 2018. Simferopol and Sochi became leaders by passenger traffic among Russian destinations. 18.2 k and 10.2 k passengers respectively took advantage of the air service with each of these cities. Significant growth of passenger traffic to Sochi deserves to be noted - over 348%.
Antalya has become the most popular overseas resort. 78 k passengers were serviced in this destination (growth +15%).
The proactive flight program on resort destinations will remain in August-September as well. Residents of southern regions of Russia have an opportunity to depart for recreation by a direct flight from Platov to such cities as Sochi, Simferopol, Antalya, Heraklion, Dalaman, Al Munastir, Dubai and Barcelona.
